As safety professionals we too often spend time to do things ourselves  – audits, inspections, investigations, and more… a lot more. But do we have to do things this way? Does safety have to be so, for lack of a better word, “manual”? Well, many companies with top performing safety programs have realized that there are more efficient, more effective, ways to implement and maintain cutting edge safety programs. One of their secrets is using self assessments (software tools designed to take the expertise of safety professionals and put it in the hands of everyday employees, at scale).
